Did you know that approximately 1 in every 7 people on earth lack access to safe drinking water?  That’s about 884 million people.  Every day millions of women and children spend hours walking several miles to collect water from polluted sources.  Every year water-related diseases claim more lives than guns, cancer and even wars.

What if you could make a difference?  Would you do it?

In June of 2012 some high school students from Northwest Christian Church in Decatur, Illinois, were challenged to do just that – make a difference by hosting a 5K to benefit Active Water.  We are inviting you to join these students on Saturday, October 19th, at Fairview Park in Decatur, IL, at 10:00 a.m. for the Running Water 5K.  All of the proceeds from the race go directly to support Active Water.  Help us make a difference in our world.
